Residence Cà Beregana – An Authentic Italian Experience in the Veneto’s Green Heart

Residence Cà Beregana – An Authentic Italian Experience in the Veneto’s Green Heart

The sun is shining high above the Northern Italian region of Veneto. It’s hot and all I have eyes for is the blue swimming pool sparkling right in front of me.

“Come,” it says, “take a dip. The water is lovely!”

And so too is the scenery. Right behind the pool stands a carefully restored early 17th century manor house – all high arches and a square turret. Its yellow bricks are emphasised by the green rolling hills which serve as a perfect backdrop. By the fence, the purple blooms of a huge wisteria swish in the gentle breeze and in the garden classical statues peek behind rose bushes which are about to bloom.

I am at Residence Cà Beregana – a peaceful and quiet nest where you find yourself in the heart of the Italian countryside and yet are only 3 km (less than 2 miles) away from Vicenza’s centre with its Palladian buildings and centuries-deep history.

You know what makes your Italian trip really special?! Finding the right place to return to at night after a hard day of sightseeing and eating your weight in delicious food.

Of course, you will want a comfortable bed, a spacious room, some gorgeous views, and a great breakfast in the morning. What else? Free parking? Good WiFi? Plenty of places of interest nearby?

Residence Cà Beregana has all this to offer and then some. How about:

  • a wellness centre with a Finnish sauna, a Turkish bath and spa showers
  • several room types (carefully designed for long and short stays) with high ceilings with wooden beams and original parquet floors
  • green areas to play ball games and football with your children and/or friends
  • meeting and banquet facilities in case you have an event to organise
  • daily maid service, concierge service and luggage storage to make your stay as comfortable as possible
  • family rooms and the possibility to have your pet with you
  • plus such charming little details like a welcome basket for every guest with bread, jam, tea and mineral water to make you feel really special.

At Residence Cà Beregana you start your morning with a tasty breakfast on the beautiful veranda. While you sip your proper Italian coffee you can admire the green rolling hills and check if the figs on the huge fig tree have ripened yet.

After that you are all set to spend the day exploring Vicenza – Northern Italy’s hidden gem – and once you have had your fill of Palladio’s architecture, Renaissance villas and as much gelato as you can humanly eat, you can venture further afield. For gorgeous cities like Venice, Verona, Padua and even Mantua and Treviso are only a very manageable drive or train ride away. Not forgetting Italy’s largest lake, Lago di Garda, and dozens of small medieval walled towns like Soave, Marostica and Montagnana, so that you can go crazy ticking items off your dream Italian travel wish list.

As such, the Residence Cà Beregana is an ideal travelling base and you don’t need to constantly switch accommodation every night in order to see the best that the Veneto has to offer.

You can spend the hot afternoons and early evenings quietly reading in the green garden of the Residence Cà Beregana, where benches are dotted in the shade. Or you can spend a blissful hour in the wellness centre getting your body ready for many more sightseeing feats.

The sparkling blue pool is at your disposal at all times. This way you can go for a re-energising swim before heading into town for dinner in one of the many restaurants. Or you can prepare a meal in the kitchen attached to your room with products bought earlier in the day from the local supermarkets and delis.
