Welcome to Palazzo Rosso. An historic 17th century villa and 400 acre arable farm 15 kms south of the beautiful Unesco world heritage city of Vicenza in the heart of the Veneto county near Venice in northern italy.
In 2007 one of the barns of Palazzo Rosso was painstakingly restored to offer 6 holiday rental apartments with swimming pool.
The farm is owned and run by Silvia Zini and her husband Philip Frankland with their two children Peter and Daniela.
Apartments
Our 6 holiday rental apartments are built into the south facing wing of Palazzo Rosso. The 400 year old building was completely and lovingly restored in 2006, retaining all original features, beams, solid stone walls, fireplaces etc.
There is a 300 square metre 10 metre high beamed barn for guest use, paved with local stone. A 13.5×6 metre pool with jacuzzi jets was installed in the spring of 2008. There are extensive gardens for guests on both sides of the building, as well as an orchard and courtyard animals (ponies, donkeys, a cow, sheep, goats, pigs, chickens, turkeys, ducks, rabbits and dogs). The building faces south and has views out over our farmland, with a river and the Berici hills to the west, the Villa courtyard garden to the north and our 15 acre Vineyard to the east.
There is also a 110 square metre Common room on the ground floor with a kitchen and table for 14, bathroom with shower, computer and printer, Tv and Pool table.
