The real olive picking in the olive grove with traditional method and modern techniques, for adults and children. Then all sitting at the table to taste different olive oils and enjoy a light lunch.
A “bilingual” (Italian and English) event OPEN TO EVERYBODY. Children up to 2-years-old are welcome too and they don’t pay.
A morning of Fattoria Didattica or “teaching farm” at the Agriturismo Da Sagraro Farm and Winery dedicated to the world of olive.
PROGRAM
9:30 a.m. Meeting at Da Sagraro Farm – Welcome coffee or cappuccino;
10:00 a.m. A short walk thru the Farm olive groves with introduction on trees maintenance;
10:30 a.m. Arrive at the olive trees with the ripe fruit and explanation of the olive harvest; lay the nets, rake the olives, gather the olives (everyone will try the harvest);
12:00 p.m. Easy olive oil tasting session (on tasting the brand new local olive oil too) followed by a light lunch (first course pasta OR second course roasted meat with local side dishes, dessert, wine, water, coffee included);
1:30 p.m. Free time (wine and olive oil shopping, walk in the area, etc.).
EQUIPMENT AND MATERIALS
The Farmhouse provide:
• A specialized guide / farmer
• Interpreter Italian / English
Included in shareholding:
• Harvest tools
• Olive oils tasting session
• Light Lunch (it’s not a full lunch) with different local wines.
At the expense of the participants:
• Displacement to the place of meeting
• Personal equipment (appropriate clothing / shoes, etc.)
