OBLIVION SOAVE ensemble – I fasti del Barocco: Ville e Palazzi in musica
An event about NOTE DIPINTE Festival, a fascinating musical journey linking some of the most outstanding paintings of the Chiericati Art Gallery with musical works of the same period.
The concert will feature three talented local musicians (Massimiliano Varusio – cello, Alessandro Parise – percussions, and Ilaria Fantin – arch lute) accompanying the well-known Baroque singer from Verona Elena Bertuzzi.
Elena Bertuzzi is an accomplished performer of international caliber with several European tours under her belt, CD recordings and radio appearances. She will introduce the audience to a program of famous songs from the Italian Baroque period; a journey through the most beautiful melodies which were commonly sung at the time in the villas and palaces.
The concert aims at providing a fitting soundtrack to the beauty of the Pinacoteca’s Hall of Lunettoni with the magnificent frescoes by Giulio Carpioni, who was born in Venice in 1613, the same year as Monteverdi was appointed, in the same city, Chapel Master of St. Mark’s Cathedral.
Tickets are €10 and can be purchased directly from the ticket office of Palazzo Chiericati an hour before the performance. Free entry for the under fourteen.
The organization has decided to set aside a number of tickets at a special rate of 5 euros instead of 10 euros, for members of the local American Community. To get the discounted ticket just show your ID card at the ticket office.
