On Friday 8th March, after the usual winter pause, the park will open for the 2019 season. It has been adjudged the Second Most Beautiful Garden Park in Europe and has won the prize for the Finest Flowering garden in Italy with the “Tulip Mania” show of over a million brightly coloured tulips.

The reopening will be dedicated to women: on 8th and 9th March, 2019, all women shall have free entry to the gardens while accompanying men will pay a reduced entry ticket price.

Visitors can enjoy the re-awakening of nature in the spring, with the narcissi along the Avenue of the Fountains and the first hyacinths and tulips. Not to be missed is a trip to the Maze, a wonderful example of green architecture built with 1500 yews that create a path over a 2500 square metre area, to the Great Lawn, the largest expanse in the Park and home at its heart to the Flowering Lakes and to the panoramic avenue that overlooks Borghetto sul Mincio, one of Italy’s most picturesque spots, set in the enchanting valley of the river Mincio.
