We made a little bistro beneath
our shop, in a cellar where
our wine matures and developes
and where you will see the ruins
of the ancient city.

Here is where we fulfilled
our dream of making our clients
taste our main dish: bacalà (dried
and salted codfish, also known
as stockfish).

Here is where we can talk about
our product while we eat it,

and where our culinary proposals
become taste itineraries that describe
the Veneto cuisine, territory
and … history.

Ivana e Maria Giovanna Boscolo

Il Ceppo, founded by Mr. Osvaldo Boscolo in 1971 following his passion for the typical products of our wonderful country, is the best gastronomy shop in Vicenza. We are located downtown, in the heart of Vicenza, in Corso Palladio 196, at a walking distance from the Basilica Palladiana and the Teatro Olimpico.

The high quality of the products we sell is our strength and our shop can satisfy our customers’ desires:

Gastronomy department:
Phantasy and the constant research for quality in the basic “raw materials ingredients” are the secret recipe of our passionate chefs. Here, you can find lasagne and crêpes of different flavors, typical dishes of the Vicenza local cuisine, first and second courses and a rich variety of salads.

Delicatessen department:
Our delicatessen corner offers the best choice of Italian hams such as Parma and San Daniele (DOP) or the special Montagnana raw ham, our button-hole flower product, sopressa aged salami), lardo di Colonnata (Italian bacon-fat from Colonnata, Tuscany), culatello di Zibello  (a refined variety of ham), a variety of traditional salami types and much more to taste and to choose from.

Cheese corner:
In our cheese corner you can find Parmigiano Reggiano (Parmesan cheese), Grana Padano (another type of Parmesan), locally produced, Gorgonzola (blue cheese). You can also choose among more than 10 different types of Asiago cheese and many other typical cheeses from the local and national areas, including French camembert.

Vinegars and olive oils corner:
We have a dedicated corner with a wide variety of balsamic vinegars, mostly from the Modena region and a wide selection of the best Italian extra-virgin olive oils.
