Il Trionfo del Colore. Da Tiepolo a Canaletto e Guardi. Vicenza e i Capolavori dal Museo Pushkin di Mosca
The art exhibition “The Triumph of Color. From Tiepolo to Canaletto and Guardi. Vicenza and the Masterpieces from the Pushkin Museum in Moscow” will show about 60 artworks by Venetian masters of the 18th century with paintings arriving from the Pushkin State Museum’s own holdings shown alongside loans from public and private collections in Vicenza – Italy.
The works demonstrate a variety of genres, from vedute cityscapes to comic street scenes, united by the vibrant colors typical of Venetian rococo. The exhibition includes works by Giambattista Tiepolo, Giovanni Battista Pittoni, Luca Carlevarijs, Giovanni Battista Piazzetta, Giovanni Antonio Canal (Canaletto), Francesco Guardi and Pietro Longhi.
The Vicenza’s exhibit take place at Palazzo Chiericati, home of the city civic art gallery and at the Collezione Intesa Sanpaolo Gallerie d’Italia – Palazzo Leoni Montanari.
But this is also a Spread Art Exhibit including churches, other palaces and villas of Vicenza and surroundings with “art paths” specially designed by the organizers.
