The race / festival “PALIO DELLE ZATTERE” (Palio of the rafts) began as a competition between the nine districts of Valstagna, competing on the waters of the Brenta river in a picturesque and panoramic stretch.
The people of the valley, first with canoes and now with rafts, seems so reconciled to the river after the terrible flood of 1966 and the tragic Brentanon of 31 July 1851.
Program (SUNDAY):
2:30 p.m. Start of the parade with flag bearers and musicians.
4:30 p.m. Start of the race from the village of San Gaetano, arriving under the Bridge of Rialto.
