English Guided Tour with Asiago Guide local professional guides.
On Sunday, September 1st, 2019.
Easy excursion led by AsiagoGuide for “#adottaunalbero – E… STATE IN MARCESINA” an events review to show what climate changes did few months ago in the mountain territory in and around the Asiago plateau when hundreds of thousands of tress were knocked down by the Vaia hurricane and its high winds. So the tours aim is to “adopt” a tree for the plantation where the forest was destroyed.
AsiagoGuides organizes an interesting guided tour led in English language (but open to everybody!) following the steps of Ernest Hemingway, the American writer who found himself in Veneto as soldier douring WWI. The tour will be on real tranches and battlefields of the Great War located in the northern part of Vicenza province, the Asiago Plateau (the group will walk by a British Cemetery and natural beauties like the “Città di Roccia”: a scenic rock formations). As ambulance driver, Hemingway, visited all these places and wrote about that on his novels and poems.
The tour will start at 9:30 a.m. from the Malga Pian di Granezza, where later (the group will be back at about 1PM) it is possible to have the lunch (not included in the tour fee) with delicious local cheese recipes, salami and other typical dishes.
The hike is considered “easy” level.
